How is it even possible that this blog has been around for over 3 years already? It’s amazing how quickly time flies and how quickly things change. Even though I have not been blogging as much lately, LukePeerFly.com is alive and as strong as ever.
April 4th was this blog’s 3rd “birthday” and looking back, it is incredible how much it’s grown! On LPF’s first birthday, the top post that year had 9,770 views. Just two months ago I published an article about my presentation at Affiliate Summit and that’s already had nearly 10,400 views.
That’s just one example of how this blog has grown and changed, but first let’s take a look at a few changes that have happened in my life over the past year.
PeerFly Director of Marketing
Last year I was promoted and officially put in charge of the department I had been leading since joining PeerFly in October of 2009. When I joined PeerFly in 2009 I was the only Affiliate Manager and I managed our publisher base myself until mid 2012. Now, I’m the Director of Marketing at PeerFly and manage a growing department with 3 other people. I am planning to hire at least one more person this year and a few more next year as PeerFly continues to grow and expand.
Over the past year I have tackled a few large projects of my own. I am always coming up with new ideas and tools I can create to make my job easier and potentially make my publishers more money. My largest and most successful project to date was launched in August and is called FPTraffic. If you haven’t checked it out then definitely take a look.
My side projects have taken up a lot of my free time over the past year and it’s one of the reasons I have not been blogging as much. I have made a lot of money from them though and overall they’ve been a very good experience for me as I continue to grow as an entrepreneur.
Despite all my distractions, I have managed to publish some articles. This blog was read over a million times, but these were my top posts:
Promoting Affiliate Offers with Bing Ads
Learn how I use Bing Ads to promote PeerFly offers. One of the great things about Bing Ads is that you can direct link. They do not allow you to use the PeerFly tracking links anymore, but in the article I explain how to setup a meta refresh and provide you with the HTML code. Definitely worth reading if you’re running Search PPC traffic on other networks like 7Search.
How I made $6,034.38 so far with Teespring
Teespring has blown up over the past few months and a lot of people are making a lot of money with them. Whether you have heard of them or not, check out my case study on how I generated over $6,000 my first few months selling shirts using my Facebook Pages. Since my case study I have generated another $xx,xxx and launch new campaigns pretty regularly.
I also posted a series of posts about Facebook Pages. I dedicated a lot of my spare time building, growing, and monetizing Facebook Pages (see the Teespring article above) over the past year. I’m still reaching millions of people a week on my Pages and although there’s been some discussion lately about Facebook killing Pages, I am still seeing very good results.

I also published an article on how I tweet images for extra exposure on Twitter and noticed some people I follow copying my technique. It works! Use it yourself.
Speaking on social media and exposure, I was also invited to and attended the Modern Family Fan Appreciation Day in October. It was an all expense paid trip provided by the USA Network and the reason they picked me is because of my huge Modern Family Facebook Page, Phil Dunphy Quotes.
Have a 9-5 Job? Screw That!
No, I didn’t quite my day job. My friend Jay created an awesome video course on how to build and monetize websites. If that sparks your interest then you absolutely need to read my review of his course, Screw95.
Tracking is always confusing for new publishers and although my article on how to setup a PeerFly campaign on Prosper202 is nearing 40,000 views, I know there are a lot of people confused on how to install Prosper202 so I published an article on that too. Still confused? Check out my article how to setup tracking with CPVLab, Prosper202, and BevoMedia.

I have a lot on my plate, but I do have some great articles I’m hoping to publish over the next month and I also have a few projects I am hoping to launch this year. I have been testing some new traffic sources and I plan to write up case studies about them as well.
I’m proud of this blog and I’m proud of all the things I’ve accomplished over the past year. I appreciate your support and I look forward to writing more articles on all the amazing things we can do to make more money online. More opportunities are available every single day. Let’s take advantage of them all.
