7Search and LeadImpact are DEAD

This year, we have lost two traffic sources that anyone who has been doing affiliate marketing for a few years has probably at least tried out: 7Search and LeadImpact.

Nearly 5 years ago, I published an article titled Traffic Sources Based On Experience and both 7Search and LeadImpact were recommended in it. Over the years, they have both been a great source of traffic for our affiliates at PeerFly and thousands of people have made tons of money using them.

However, the tides change quickly in the affiliate marketing industry and those traffic sources were not able to keep up.

7Search Dead

7Search is near and dear to my heart. I wrote my review of 7Search on November 16, 2011. I followed it up with a bunch of other articles about how to run and optimize campaigns using their traffic that have generated 563,558 page views and counting.

LeadImpact has also had a big impact on me. I spent quite a bit of money advertising with them, had many great campaigns, and published a bunch of articles that have gotten 216,641 page views on this blog.

But, they’re both gone now, so what can we do?

7Search Alternative

If you are looking for a great search ad network to run traffic then I recommend you give Bing Ads a try.

I recommended Bing Ads in my 2017 affiliate traffic sources and it’s still going strong.

You will find the quality traffic is much better than what you would typically see with 7Search. The CPCs will be higher, but your campaigns should convert better.

LeadImpact Alternative

The first PPV network that I ran traffic with was DirectCPV (no longer recommended and how are they still in business?), but the traffic source I’ve recommended most and used most over the years was definitely LeadImpact.

Unfortunately, traditional PPV traffic is not performing like it used to. Desktop users are on a decline and that’s where a majority of the PPV networks make their money.

However, RTX Platform (formally 50onRed) is still alive and kicking.

RTX Platform was another traffic source I recommended for 2017. It’s the same platform as was available on 50onRed so you can follow my 50onRed guide to setting up your campaigns.

Another LeadImpact alternative PPV network you may want to check out is PropellerAds.

PropellerAds

PropellerAds has a very nice platform where you can bid on RON (run of network) PPV traffic and then optimize on source, device, carrier, etc.

As I mentioned, the affiliate marketing industry is constantly changing and it’s important that affiliates go with the flow. There is still ample opportunity to make money, but you have to keep testing traffic and searching for that winning campaign.

  1. I guess I should stop reading or taking action on your article/review older than one month. I read your review about 7search and used them for search traffic for my CPA campaign. Guess what? The money was new finishing and not even “1” conversion.

    1. I’m actually working on adding a notice to my old articles (2+ years) just to alert people to the fact that they may be outdated. Some information is still relevant, but a lot of traffic sources and strategies have changed.

      Sorry to hear your 7Search campaign tanked. Did you at least learn a thing or two about setting up and managing a campaign? You can move that strategy to Bing Ads. Many have and many have had success with them 🙂

      1. With Bing, depending on the offer, you may need to setup a custom tracking domain and custom landing page. IF you’re trying to direct link your campaigns, you may want to try PropellerAds (mentioned above).

    1. You needed to request a refund from both companies. They both sent out mass emails with information about getting a refund. At this point, your money is likely gone.

  2. Luke, I run a PPCall Biz. I am an affiliate with you guys but I must be honest, I don’t use your network. I use RTX for some offers but haven’t fully committed so can’t say how good they are (conversions wise) but I can vouch for them they are legit and have an amazing staff. I have no doubts they will be a future revenue for me. But getting to Bing Ads, I currently use Adwords & FB for my Call campaigns. I will admit I am almost always annoyed with Adwords due to them constantly updating their interface causing nothing but load issues. However, the traffic is okay…”Okay” is all it is.

    Do you have xp with PPCall & if so, how would you compare Bing to Adwords? I realize all niches have their benefits in certain platforms but PPC is fairly new and Adwords has created an interface with call only settings, which no other platform offers today. So with that in mind, do you think they are a company worth looking at for my business in referance to quality calls?

    1. Hey Joseph. I don’t run pay per call and that’s primarily because we don’t have pay per call at PeerFly at the moment. I’d assume this is a big reason why you’re not working with us current as well.

      However, I would definitely recommend giving Bing Ads a try with your campaigns. It’s pretty easy to duplicate your campaigns from AdWords and what can it hurt? Run a small test and you’ll know pretty quickly how it compares to your AdWords campaigns. Either you’re going to increase your profit (YES!) or you’re going to lose a little money in a small test that had the potential to increase your profit 🙂

      1. Correct, that is the biggest reason I don’t run offers with you guys. Though recently I did attempt to run some test offers but out of all the offers I was going to run, I had issues with the links going to other offers and not the offer I had chosen to run. I did mention it but it never was rectified so I moved on. Thank you for the reply and the input. I think you’re right, running some test camps with Bing should be worth trying even if it doesn’t work out. Never know until I try it.

        Will you ever add call offers to your network?

      2. If you were being taken to a different offer than what you expected, it was likely because you live outside of the offer’s Allowed Countries. You can use a proxy or VPN to view the offer (more info on that here). Your Affiliate Manager should have told you that and I apologize if that wasn’t the case.

        We’ve had pay per call offers in the past and we may add new ones in the future.

      3. Bing do not have much search volume like adwords for your pay per call offer. Also bing do not provide you only call ads feature like adwords does. Although bing has call extension for pay per call campaign but i think still it’s not perfect. So adwords still the best one for pay per call but I hate their policy. Adwords has ban me for a silly policy violation and permanently baned my IP so i can’t use adwords any more in legit way.

    1. ZeroPark is a great ad network, but they’ve been very pick with new advertisers. I’ve been careful about recommending them because of that.

  4. This seemed like only a matter of time. I used to really like Leadimpact but over the years the quality slowly dropped and “odd” things kept happening. Oh well, on to the next one!

  5. Hey, Luke, I still remember When I used to Run My offer on 7search and It was Pretty Good but the thing is that Traffic is Cheap. I agree that Affiliate Industry is changing Day by Day and we need to Try different Traffic source.
