Can I promote PeerFly offers on YouTube?

We have recently had a lot of publishers start to focus part of their affiliate marketing strategy on YouTube. YouTube is a great place to pick up some free traffic for your affiliate marketing campaigns, but we do have some guidelines that we require all PeerFly publishers to follow if they want to promote on YouTube and those are:

The offer must have Social PPC listed under Allowed Marketing. You must own the rights to the video content you are promoting on. The offer must be related to the video content. You must use a redirect on your own domain if you are going to direct link. You are not allowed to post links in the comment sections of the video, just the description and in your video.

The offer must have Social PPC listed under Allowed Marketing. This rule has been set in place because, although you are not technically doing pay per click advertising, it is still social traffic and in order to promote on social traffic our advertisers must agree that they want that type of traffic being used to promote their offer.

My Caricature!

Some of you may remember my review on make money online blog, Dukeo.com. If not, go read it. Anyway, I was one of the lucky winners for a contest Dukeo.com was putting on and with it won a sweet new caricature of myself!

Stéphane was nice enough to not only give me the caricature, but also did one of his “Who Is” articles on me. Check it out at Who Is Luke Kling? I have won quite a few contests in my life, but this is definitely one of my favorites. A few years ago I won an iPad from a contest Shoemoney did and I may be more excited about this caricature. I’ve always wanted one and this one turned out great.

My plan is to completely redesign my blog based on this caricature. I’ve created WordPress themes before, but this is a pretty big venture for me. I am not sure when it will be complete, but it’s definitely on my priority list. I also have been posting on Fiverr to get someone to turn my caricature into a layered PSD and make it so I have a PeerFly shirt on and possibly some Nike Air Max shoes :)

Stop Scrubbing Me!

There are a million different reasons why your affiliate marketing campaign might fail, but the number one excuse I see as an affiliate manager coming from my PeerFly publishers is scrub. It does not matter how many different factors there are that could change the outcome of your campaign, the first thing that comes to mind every single time is scrub. Well, here are a few things you should consider before crying scrub.

How much traffic have you sent?

I have publishers that have sent 3 clicks total to a campaign and they’ll email me telling me that we are obviously scrubbing because they should have had a lead. Two things:

We do not scrub leads at PeerFly unless they are fraudulent. The advertiser probably didn’t even notice your 3 clicks.

#1 is true, we do not scrub at PeerFly. Our conversion rates are proof of that. The only time you are ever going to have leads removed from your account is if we get feedback from the advertiser telling us that you were generating fraudulent leads, had duplicate leads, or something along those lines. If something like this happens you are always welcome to contact myself or Corey (Compliance → Continue Reading

New DirectCPV Interface Fails

directcpv fail

A lot of my PeerFly publishers have recently been running traffic with DirectCPV. Although it’s not my favorite PPV network, I’ve seen mixed results with some tests of my own so I don’t usually discourage it. As I mentioned in my Top PPV Networks post, it’s a good PPV network for newbies. However, with a recent “update” to their interface, I’m ready to start suggesting getting your PPV traffic elsewhere.

New DirectCPV Design

The new design looks nice, but it’s not functioning properly! I haven’t run any campaigns myself, but after logging in and taking a look around and reading this thread on CPVDen, I’m not going to be running any anytime soon either. Why would they release the new update without having it 100% ready to go? For example, I went to my Referrals page, clicked the button to get my referral link, and my referral code isn’t even there.

I hope they are able to get everything fixed and actually ready to go soon or I doubt they will have many people running traffic for much longer.

Is anyone else having issues with the new DirectCPV interface?
