Last week I signed logged into my SponsoredTweets account for the first time in years to find $40 sitting in my account that I had completely forgotten. I am not really sure what made me sign in to my account, but I am happy I did. When I went to withdraw the money I was given a notice that the minimum to withdraw is $50 unless you have a PRO account. A PRO account is just $1.99 a month and they give you a free 30 day trial, so I went ahead and signed up for a PRO account and withdrew my balance. I was $40 richer and didn’t have to do anything really to earn it. I immediately started to wonder why I had ever stopped doing paid Twitter promotions and also started to do more research on my new PRO account.
SponoredTweets PRO
I’m pretty sure when I originally started using SponsoredTweets (on July 15th, 2009 according to my profile) they didn’t have the PRO account feature, but it seems like it would be well worth the $1.99 a month. I updated my account profile on SponsoredTweets and dropped the price per tweet for @LukePeerFly down to $5.00. Over the past week I have gotten 5 opportunities and have made $25. Today I raised my price per tweet to $8.00 because it appears my value on SponsoredTweets has gone up.
With a PRO account your given priority over the other Twitter users who do not have one. I think this has directly reflected the amount of opportunities to do paid tweets I have been given. Also, with the PRO account the minimum cash out threshold is $25, which is pretty cool because I’m only charging $8.00/tweet.
I am going to continue to use SponsoredTweets as long as I am getting opportunities. Even if I only get 3-4 opportunities a week that’s $24-32/week or around $100/month that I wasn’t making before I don’t really have to do anything to earn it. I’m not too concerned about my Twitter followers starting to hate me or unfollow me either because, well, it’s just a tweet :)

I got more when I had a PRO account, but it’s all about being active on Twitter and generating a good following.
